Magnetic switches are not compatible with standard mechanical keyboards. They are compatible with mainstream magnetic switch keyboards on the market, such as: wooting, melgeek, iqunix, nuphy, MonsGeek, ATK, Mad Catz, AULA, FL·ESPORTS, Keyverse, WOB, Angry Miao, ISO, rakka, MM studio, Starray, etc.
Taishan magnetic switches come factory pre-lubed, ready to use right out of the box!
Taishan magnetic switches feature an integrated housing design secured by clips and do not support disassembly. If custom lubrication is required, it can be done through the stem opening and the dual windows at the bottom of the housing.
FAQ
Is there an up/down orientation for installing the switch (regarding the LED position)?
The LED slot position is designed symmetrically, so there's no specific up/down orientation for installation. (Just ensure the switch's positioning pins align with the corresponding holes on the keyboard PCB.)
What's the precision like? Can it reliably maintain a 0.01mm Rapid Trigger (RT) setting?
The Taishan magnetic switch supports a minimum step precision of 0.005mm for Rapid Trigger (RT). It can reliably maintain a 0.01mm setting without accidental actuation. However, objective factors such as variations in PCBs and individual installation differences can affect the actual RT precision. Please have realistic expectations regarding achieving ultra-fine precision.
How do I calibrate the switches?
Calibration is performed by selecting a magnetic switch preset within the driver software. The process is as follows: Unplug the keyboard's data cable -> Replace the switches with the Taishan magnetic switches -> Plug the data cable back in -> Open the driver software and select a magnetic switch preset (the 'Wan Ci Wang RGB' preset is recommended) -> Press a key all the way down (bottom out) and gently move/wiggle it for about 2 seconds to calibrate. After successful calibration, the switches are ready for use.
