REFUND POLICY

Returns

  • Return requests can be accepted within SEVEN days after the product has been delivered. Any requests to make a return/exchange of goods will no longer be available.
  • For eligible returns, the item must be unused and be in the original condition as received. Original packaging must be included for the return.
  • As part of a return, you are required to include a receipt or proof of purchase.

Regarding Fully Assembled Keyboard(s)

  • We do not accept any returns on the grounds of “The keyboard feels bad” or dissatisfaction. As an assembled keyboard can not be sold again as a new product, the request for returning a Fully Assembled Keyboard or a DIY Keyboard has been assembled.
  • Refunds regarding products not received from a shipping courier.
  • We recommend contacting the courier regarding any issues with shipment. We do not offer refunds if they have an issue with delivery, nor will we resend the order.


The following situations will also not be eligible for a refund request:

1) incorrect contact information or address was provided

2) not reply via email or accept calls from the courier

3) refusing to sign for the parcel

4) refusing to pay any import tax or fee's

5) refusing import clearance

Any fees incurred due to any of the following will be afforded to the recipient. Parcel insurance is available where applicable. If you are not certain it is applicable, please review the terms of conditions with the provider. Insurance can be used when a parcel gets lost or damaged by filing a claim with the insurance provider.

For PCB return/exchanges


The following are exempt from warranty claim(s)

1) The USB Port becomes loose or disconnects from the PCB

2) The hot-swap socket becomes loose or disconnects from the PCB

3) a diode becomes loose or disconnects from the PCB

4) customer modifies the PCB. Example: converting a solder PCB to hot-swap

5) a capacitor becomes loose or disconnects from the PCB

6) For a PCB that is assembled by the customer, whether it be soldering or inserting switches into a hot-swap PCB. KBDfans does ask that the PCB be tested before assembly, as changes can occur during shipment. If any of the components or the circuit becomes damaged during shipment, KBDfans can provide a repair service, but does not bear responsibility for the freight charge!


For Switches

  • Any switches lubed or disassembled by customers are exempt from warranty.

For Stabilizers

  • Any clipped and/or lubed stabilizers are exempt from warranty.

For Keycaps


If there is a defect with the Keycaps or any concerns, please contact KBDfans within 7 days after receiving the parcel. Once the Keycaps are used, we do not accept returns.


For keyboard case(s)


1) Anodized cases are hung to be painted. Because of this, you may find points inside the case from the painting process. This is normal and within our quality acceptance.

2) If there is any damage to the case, please contact us within 7 days of the parcel's delivery. No compensation will be provided after 7 days.

3) Slight scratches to a case or brass weight are acceptable to our quality level

4) If you are to strip a screw, this is not covered by warranty.

Order Cancellations


1. For non-Group Buy orders, they can be canceled if the status of the order is unfulfilled. A refund has a processing period of 1-3 business days after the order cancellation(s).

2. With the recent changes to PayPal's refund policy, KBDfans had to make changes for refunds of Group Buy products. A 3% service fee is charged for the cancellation of a group buy order at this current time.


Non-refundable items are the following:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Any health and/or personal care items
  • There are some instances where only a partial refund can be applied. These are on a case-by-case evaluation and are not guaranteed.
  • Items that are received with obvious signs that they have been used.
  • Items that are not in their original condition, have been damaged or are missing parts.
  • Any items that are being returned after the 7-day return period.

Refunds for products that have been returned (where applicable)

  • Once the order has been received at our facility and has been inspected, an email will be sent to inform you this has occurred. Another email will follow to inform you whether the refund is being approved or rejected. If approved, the refund will be applied back to your original payment method or to a credit card if designed. This may take a few business days to process.

Regarding late or missing refunds (when applicable)

  • If you have not received a refund yet, first check the account to which the refund was being processed. This may require you to contact the company for more information if it does not appear. The provider should be able to advise you regarding how much time it can take before the funds are eligible for use. If the refund is being processed to a 3rd party provider (PayPal), there may be additional processing time required for them to allocate the funds. If the providers have not received the refund yet, please contact KBDfans at Support@kbdfans.cn
Regarding discounted/sale item(s)
  • Only regularly priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items are exempt from being refunded.
Exchanges (when possible)
  • Exchanges are possible if an item(s) is received damaged or defective. Only the same item can be exchanged, and it's best to email us at Support@kbdfans.cn regarding a request for an exchange.

Gifts
  • If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
  • If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Regarding return shipping cost
  • You are responsible for paying the cost to ship a return. The shipping cost will not be reimbursed. If you receive a refund, the cost for returning the order will be deducted from your refund.
  • Items that get exchanged may take time to be received depending on where you are located.
  • If the item you are returning is over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping method or consider purchasing insurance for the parcel. We can not guarantee that a return will be received.
